Steve Wide and Michelle Mackintosh are certified Japanophiles. They spend around three months every year in Tokyo - their home away from home. Together, they have written, photographed and designed numerous books on Japanese culture, including Tokyo Precincts, Kyoto Pocket Precincts, Tokyo, Onsen of Japan, Tokyo Pocket Precincts and Osaka Pocket Precincts. Their books have been translated into four languages. Michelle is a multi-award-winning book designer and illustrator. She has a wrapping paper range sold in Japan and her work has been exhibited in Tokyo. She designs lifestyle and cultural books on subjects ranging from city guides to cooking, craft, pop culture, sustainability and gardening. She has written two books on analog correspondence, Snail Mail and Care Packages. Steve and Michelle live in Melbourne with their giant British shorthair cat, Enid.
